New Think Pink Ladies Golf Clubs!

A couple weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be contacted by the folks at Sweet Spot Golf regarding their new Think Pink ladies golf club line. These are some pretty groovy clubs that took them over 2 years to engineer. The club head design was patterned after the racing bicycle helmets to make them more aerodynamic and maximize the hitting potential. The unique v-pattern is not only for looks - it is a patented design to help with your ball alignment. So far, these clubs are getting rave reviews from lady golfers far and wide. As soon as my set gets here, I'll be sure to try them out and give you an update. The Think Pink line offers a pink putter (available with black or white), a pink driver, and 3 pink hybrid clubs (#3, #4, #5).

To top things off, a generous portion of all sales goes to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Cute clubs, outstanding performance, and a good cause. Need I say more? They are now available at the Pink Golf Tees store, so be among the first to check them out and be the envy of your friends on the golf course!

Golf Lesson #3

OK, so I finally got around to having my third golf lesson of the season last week. The first thing out of my golf pro's mouth was "have you practiced since I saw you last?" Granted, it had been almost a month since I had seen her last, but that's a question I've grown to dread. In years past, it was very typical for me to play golf at least once a week. This year has been the anomaly, with the TN golfing experience a couple weeks ago being only the 3rd time we've played all summer. Gasp, I know! So, on that note we begin the lesson. My drive has gotten much better in these lessons, which was one of the main things I wanted to focus on this year. Old habits do die hard, though, so we're still focusing on my swing. Next lesson I hope to work with my new pink putter and new pink hybrid clubs.

Golfing in TN

I was in TN last week for my sister's wedding. We ended up with some time to kill one morning, so a couple of us decided to go play golf. Since we had limited time, we took the first tee time available at Brainerd Golf Course. Also, since we had flown to TN without any plans to play golf, we had to rent golf clubs at the pro shop. This was definately not the course's strong point. There were no ladies golf clubs and between the two golf bags we ended up with 1 driver, 1 ok putter and 1 awful putter, 1 8 iron, 1 3 hybrid (left hand), and a smattering of other golf clubs. That made things a little interesting!

Despite the issues with the golf clubs, it was a very enjoyable municipal golf course. There were several groups of ladies out playing and the course offered a nice variety in terrain. The one down side is that the golf course backs up to the Chattanooga Airport, so you get all the runway noise which is just about constant while you are playing.

Top 50 Ladies Golf Instructors

What makes a good golf instructor? Obviously, she needs to be well-educated, experienced and insightful. The key to being a great teacher, however, is chemistry. You may think such chemistry happens only by chance or after a couple of glasses of chardonnay. But a great teacher develops a rapport with any student who come to her lesson tee. This list collected by Golf For Women Magazine will help you find a teacher in your area — or guide you to one of the golf schools where they give lessons.

Do you have a favorite ladies golf instructor who didn't make the list? Please submit her name, contact information, and what you love about her!
